We are looking for someone who has the following:

  • High level of clinical knowledge, proficiency and skills in General Medicine and Nephrology.
  • Extensive experience in managing patients with all spectrum of renal diseases including dialysis and transplant patients.
  • Proven commitment to leading and participating in an education program for clinical staff at both an undergraduate and postgraduate level, demonstrated ability to construct and/or maintain opportunities for research and education.
  • Developed leadership skills and experience in contributing as a team member in a multidisciplinary approach to service provision.

    The Hospital:
    This is the main referral hospital in the Region, which has a population of approximately 250,000. provides a huge array of services including Red Cross blood transfusion service, 24 hour emergency, anaesthetics, radiology, ultrasound, specialist outpatient department review, central sterilising services and supply, rehabilitation, renal, coronary care, intensive care, palliative care, chemotherapy, cay surgery unit, operating rooms, general surgery, general orthopaedics, visiting urology, ear nose and throat, general medicine, obstetrics & gynaecology, paediatrics including neonatal (special care nursery), and general respiratory medicine.
    isiting services include rheumatology, oncology, haematology, paediatric cardiology, neurosurgical and facial maxillary.
    Huge improvements on the Hospital have been made since 2007, stage one of these improvements included a new emergency department, rehabilitation unit, maternity unit, paediatrics unit and dialysis unit as well as a learning and development centre.

    Situated close to stunning beaches, perfect for snorkeling, scuba diving and boating and surrounded by the Ranges/Mountain thus creating an impressive backdrop for the vibrant City and coast

    Consultant General Medicine - FRACP: possession of qualifications and experience appropriate for registration as a Specialist in General Medicine/Nephrology with AHPRA.
