The Role:
We are looking for a Consultant Physician who is suitably experienced to apply for an exciting opportunity that exists for a .5 role with Private Practice options.
The Division of Medicine provides an in-patient, domiciliary, outpatient and remote services. You will experience and develop new clinical practices in Medicine and gain skills that are much needed in what is one of the most interesting and rewarding place to work.
From July/August 2018 the new Hospital which will be part of RDH but will mainly focus on subacute and low acuity medicine. This is the clinical setting where you can make a difference, particularly in indigenous health outcomes. Fractional appointments with another subspecialty commitment, teaching or research commitments are supported.

The Division of Medicine consists of 5 core General Medicine inpatient management teams supported by a compliment of sub-specialty units, surgical sub-specialties and an intensive care unit. Collegiality is an important feature of the Division and is strongly promoted.

The Hospital:
The Hospital has 370 beds, servicing a population of over 140,000 it is a diverse population including urban, regional and remote centres, it is a teaching hospital and is co-located with the Private Hospital. A wide range of specialist services include Emergency Medicine, Anaesthetics, Intensive Care and Coronary Care, acute medical and surgical, Rehabilitation, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Mental Health.

Skills & Qualifications required:
* Ideal candidate would hold either a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians FRACP or completed specialist assessment with the College and given substantial comparability.
* A proven commitment to maintaining professional standards in Medicine and involvement in quality assurance activities are essential criteria, with a good teaching record.
