The Role:
We are looking for a Consultant Rehabilitation Physician who is suitably experienced to apply for an exciting opportunity, joining an existing team.

The unit has an 18bed general rehabilitation ward dealing with a wide case mix of adult rehabilitation ranging from stroke/neurological, amputee, brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopaedic and multiple trauma. Outpatient clinics cover prosthetics/orthotics, chronic pain and brain injury. Exposure to intrathecal pumps & botulinum toxin injections is available. There are opportunities to attend Outreach clinics. A private rehabilitation hospital & ward are also collocated on site. The multidisciplinary rehabilitation service is based within the hospital campus. The positions are supported by an intern & RMO and supervised by two fully credentialed AFRM Fellows.

The service is expanding and will move to a new purpose-built facility, the new 116 bed hospital 20 minutes from the Main Hospital will open in 2018. The combined subacute services will be expanded to 2x24 bed wards.

The Hospital has 360 beds, servicing a population of over 140,000 it is a diverse population including urban, regional and remote centres, it is a teaching hospital and is co-located with the Private Hospital. A wide range of specialist services include Emergency Medicine, Anaesthetics, Intensive Care and Coronary Care, acute medical and surgical, Rehabilitation, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Mental Health.

Skills & Qualifications required:
* Ideal candidate would hold either a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine or equivalent specialist recognition and demonstrated subspecialty training in Rehabilitation or completed specialist assessment with the College and given substantial comparability.
