This is a rare opportunity for an experienced FRANZCP-qualified Psychiatrist to step into a Clinical Director role that genuinely balances clinical practice with strategic leadership.
You’ll have real influence over service direction, supported by a collaborative executive team and a well-established multidisciplinary service.
About You
You are a senior psychiatrist who values both clinical autonomy and collaborative leadership, and you are motivated to improve outcomes for older people in the community.
You will have:
- FRANZCP(or eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA)
- Demonstrated experience in Old Age / Older Persons Psychiatry
- Proven or emerging clinical leadership experience (Clinical Director, Clinical Lead, Head of Unit, or equivalent)
- Strong interest in service development, governance, and team leadership
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centred community mental health care
- Senior medical leadership role with real influence over service direction
- Competitive Staff Specialist / Clinical Director remuneration package

You’ll provide clinical leadership and governance for the Older Persons Community Mental Health Service, while helping shape future-focused, recovery-oriented models of care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting psychiatrists, registrars, and the MDT
- Driving service development, quality improvement, and governance
- Working closely with executive leadership, primary care, aged care, and inpatient services
- Contributing to teaching and workforce development
