About the role

This role will see you providing clinical leadership to the community child and youth mental health program. You will be involved in delivering comprehensive, high-quality psychiatric services for young people 0-18 years of age, whilst working within a framework of evidence-based services, recovery focused and trauma informed care. Your primary responsibilities will include assessment and treatment of children and young people at various sites across the north-west Tasmania region including outreach clinics, within the young person’s residence, and to young people who present to the hospital emergency department and who are subsequently admitted.

Additional responsibilities will include participating in clinical reviews, providing consultancy services for other team members and units within the hospital, ensuring clinical governance requirements are met across the clinical stream, and promoting and maintaining close links with other specialist, general practitioners and service providers to ensure continuity of patient care.
