The successful applicant will be working in a large university hospital with a reputation for being one of Queensland’s largest clinical teaching and research facilities. The hospital offers contemporary medical and surgical services and works in close partnership with several nearby health precinct hubs to provide services in accordance with individual and family needs.
This role will see you delivering clinical and non-clinical services to hospital patients. Your responsibilities will include working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team setting, delivering general hospital psychiatry consultations and advice within a supportive framework of peer and operational supports. As a member of the consultation liaison psychiatry team, you will be providing a mental health service to all treatment areas of the hospital, as well as other mental health sub-specialty units which operate across the hospital’s mental health programs.
