This position is part of a large and well-established health service covering the Bundaberg, Fraser Coast, North Burnett, and parts of the Gladstone region. Serving a population of over 214,000 people, the service delivers high-quality care across three major hospitals, offering a full spectrum of acute, sub-acute, community, mental health, and dental services.
As the successful applicant, you will be working within a dedicated Mental Health Service that embraces a recovery-oriented model of care, providing comprehensive support to adults aged 18–65 and their families.
Your role will be diverse and impactful, with responsibilities across both hospital and community-based settings. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, and work in partnership with GPs, specialists, clinical units, and referring hospitals to deliver integrated, patient-centred care.
In addition, you will play a key leadership role by providing supervision, training, and ongoing support to junior medical staff and registrars, contributing to the growth and development of the next generation of mental health professionals.
