The successful applicant will play a vital part in shaping the strategic direction and continuous improvement of Mental Health Services in a progressive tertiary healthcare facility located in central Brisbane. The position involves providing high-quality, evidence-informed psychiatric inpatient care directly to adult patients, while leading a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering exceptional clinical services. Collaborating closely with other psychiatrists across adult services and key executive leaders across other disciplines, the role ensures an integrated, accountable, and patient-centred approach to mental health care.
In addition to clinical leadership, the role includes supervision and mentoring of medical officers and psychiatry trainees, fostering the next generation of psychiatric professionals. It also entails participation in after-hours service provision across designated locations.
