This role will see you joining a progressive mental health service in a vibrant regional facility in tropical North Queensland. The hospital you will be working in is fully digitalised and equipped with leading edge technology to assist with providing the highest standard of treatment and care possible.
Mental health services are delivered via a mental health inpatient unit and a number of teams working across a range of services including acute care, continuing care, older persons, child and youth, mobile intensive rehabilitation, assertive mobile outreach, and short-term residential treatment services within the community.
As the successful applicant, your primary responsibilities will focus on providing an advanced standard of clinical care including assessment and treatment services to adult patients who present with mental disorders, alcohol and other drug and emotional and/or behavioural issues, including those being treated under the Mental Health Act (2016). The role will see you participating in supervision and teaching of junior medical staff and medical students, clinical governance activities, and taking part in the after hours on-call roster.
