This position focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centred psychiatric care to adults with a variety of mental health conditions. You will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team within a supportive regional environment that values strong community engagement.
Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments, establishing diagnoses, and implementing effective management plans. You will provide evidence-based treatments, incorporating both medication and psychosocial approaches. The role spans inpatient, outpatient, and community settings as required, working closely with a team of psychologists, nurses, social workers, and allied health professionals.
In addition, you will take on a leadership role by supervising and mentoring junior doctors and trainees where appropriate. The position involves active participation in clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and service development. Maintaining accurate clinical records in line with professional and legal standards is essential, as is contributing to an on-call roster when required.
