This role involves delivering specialist clinical psychiatry services and expert support to a dedicated Intellectual and Developmental Disability mental health team operating across both inpatient and community settings. As the successful applicant, you will work closely with an experienced multidisciplinary group - including allied health professionals, nursing staff, general medicine, and mental health clinicians - to provide comprehensive, person-centred care. The team focuses on meeting the complex needs of individuals living with intellectual and/or neurodevelopmental disabilities, including those presenting with challenging behaviours. In addition to direct clinical work, you will play an important role in supporting families and carers, offering guidance, education, and collaborative planning to help ensure continuity of care and improved long-term outcomes.
