We currently have an extensive network of General Adult psychiatry positions available to suitably qualified and experienced Consultant Psychiatrists. These positions are located throughout the Sydney metropolitan area, offering unrivalled career development opportunities.
The service you will be joining is a comprehensive mental health service delivering a wide range of mental health treatment and care. Services include Acute In-patient Care, Acute Community Care, Psychiatric Emergency Care, Consultation Liaison Services, Aged Care Psychiatry Services, Rehabilitation, Residential Services, Mental Health Intensive Inpatient Care and Early Psychosis Services.
Multidisciplinary teams work collaboratively to ensure high quality services are delivered to individuals and their families. Teams include psychiatrists, psychiatry nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychologists and administrative support staff.
These psychiatry roles offer successful applicants the opportunity to be part of a number of initiatives aimed at improving outcomes for those living with a mental illness throughout NSW. Currently a multi-million-dollar mental health reform is in progress, focusing on increased availability of person-centric psychiatric services and the biggest suicide prevention training program ever undertaken in NSW.
