The successful applicant will join a leading, innovative health service delivering care to a population of over 250,000 across a 150,000 km² region. You will be based at a prominent teaching and research hospital, central to the education of future health professionals and the advancement of healthcare through cutting-edge research. As a Consultant Psychiatrist within the Rehabilitation Services team, you will provide recovery-oriented care for consumers with complex mental health needs in a fully secure rehabilitation unit. This unit offers a safe, structured environment alongside programs designed to support reintegration into the community.
In this role, you will lead and provide expert clinical direction for the Rehabilitation Services program. You will ensure the delivery of exceptional psychiatric care, mentor and support multidisciplinary teams, and actively engage in research and teaching. Additionally, you will advocate for and implement recovery-focused strategies for individuals with complex mental health needs, both within the secure unit and the broader community.
