You will provide high-quality specialist anaesthetic services within a busy and collaborative team, including:
- Delivering safe, evidence-based anaesthesia across a broad case mix
- Participation in an on-call roster (negotiable)
- Teaching and supervision of junior doctors and trainees
- Involvement in clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement
Unlike many roles, this position offers genuine support to establish private practice, including:
- Access to private hospital sessional rooms
- Assistance with credentialing and setup
- Introductions to local referrers and networks
- 247-bed public hospital with recent redevelopment
- 5-bed ICU + coronary care
- 24/7 Emergency Department
- Full surgical services including obstetrics, orthopaedics, and paediatrics
- Eligible for Specialist Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Fellowship of Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent
- Experience as a Consultant / Specialist Anaesthetist
- Strong commitment to teamwork, education, and patient-centred care
