The Opportunity
This is the major tertiary referral centre for Far North Queensland, providing specialist services to a large and geographically diverse population.
As a Staff Specialist Anaesthetist you will:
- Deliver specialist anaesthetic services across a broad range of surgical specialties
- Participate in the Specialist Anaesthesia Outreach Program
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors and trainees
- Contribute to teaching, quality improvement and clinical governance
- Work within a supportive multidisciplinary team
- Play an important role in supporting healthcare delivery across regional and remote Queensland

- FANZCA qualified specialists
- ANZCA Specialist International Medical Graduates (SIMGs) assessed as Substantially Comparable
- UK, Irish, New Zealand, South African and other internationally trained anaesthetists eligible for specialist registration pathways in Australia
