We are seeking a dedicated Consultant/Specialist Intensive Care/ICU to join a Critical Care team on a part-time basis (40hrs per fortnight) and make a meaningful impact in regional Victoria.
MUST have current AHPRA registration

- Provide high-level routine and on-call specialist ICU services
- Deliver clinical leadership in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager
- Mentor and supervise junior medical staff and trainees
- Participate in strategic planning, clinical governance, and service improvement initiatives
The GV Health Critical Care Unit is a Level II Adult ICU and has limited capacity for paediatric patients with multi-organ support.
The unit is staffed and equipped to provide multi-organ support for patients with life-threatening illnesses, injuries and complications, and monitoring of potentially life-threatening conditions. The therapies that can be provided in the Critical Care Unit include but are not limited to:
- Airway Management
- Mechanical Ventilation
- Vasoactive Infusions
- Renal replacement therapy
- Therapeutic plasma exchange
- Transvenous pacing
- Procedural sedation
- Insertion of central venous access devices (including dialysis catheters)
About You:
- Fellowship with CICM or equivalent and Specialist registration with AHPRA
- Demonstrated experience in delivering high-acuity ICU care
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and teaching skills
- Commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in regional health
