We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Obstetrics & Gynaecology Specialist to join a dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality obstetric and gynaecological care, provide leadership and supervision to junior medical staff, and contribute to teaching, training, and research in a major regional health service.
The Role
As an O&G Specialist at NHW, you will:
- Provide direct clinical care in both obstetrics and gynaecology as required
- Supervise and guide junior medical staff to ensure the highest standards of patient care
- Participate in the on-call roster with other Visiting Medical Officer Obstetricians & Gynaecologists
- Contribute to the education of undergraduate and postgraduate medical students
- Engage in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives
- Provide general gynaecology services, with referrals for sub-specialty care (Gynae-oncology, complex Urogynaecology, advanced Laparoscopy) to tertiary centres when required
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG), or be nearing completion of training
- Demonstrated experience in managing both obstetric and gynaecological patients in a regional or tertiary setting
- A strong commitment to teaching, training, and clinical governance
