The Role
As a Consultant / Senior Specialist in Orthopaedics, you will:

• Deliver specialist clinical care across elective and trauma orthopaedic services
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and supervision to registrars and junior doctors
• Contribute to teaching, research, and service development within a supportive environment
• Participate in the on-call roster and multidisciplinary case reviews

• ~2,300 surgical procedures per year (approx. 65% emergency)
• 80+ weekly fracture clinic attendances
• 50+ new outpatient presentations weekly
• Collaborative environment with strong registrar and junior doctor support

• 354-bed Level 2 Referral Hospital with 24/7 trauma and cardiac intervention services
• Formal university affiliations supporting medical education and research
• Diverse and complex case mix ideal for clinical development and professional growth

• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS Orthopaedics) or recognised overseas equivalent
• Eligible for AHPRA Specialist Registration
