You’ll be part of a close-knit team of seven paediatric consultants delivering evidence-based care in a modern regional referral hospital, while also influencing services across community and rural settings.
You’ll have the chance to:
- Practise across general paediatrics, neonatal care, and community paediatrics
- Work in a family-centred multidisciplinary team
- Teach and mentor trainees, junior doctors, and medical students
- Contribute to research, service development, and quality improvement
- Explore academic opportunities with James Cook University
- Potentially extend services into private healthcare facilities
The clinical environment
You will be based at one of Queensland’s most modern regional hospitals, featuring:
- Child and Adolescent Unit – 12 beds
- Special Care Nursery – 8 beds
- Clinical Service Capability Framework Level 4
- Modern facilities with leading clinical technology
What you’ll bring
We are looking for paediatricians who:
- Hold Specialist Registration with AHPRA(or are eligible)
- Have FRACP in Paediatrics or eligibility
- Bring experience in general paediatrics, neonatal medicine, or community paediatrics
- Enjoy teaching, mentoring, and multidisciplinary teamwork
- Are motivated to contribute to service development and clinical excellence
