You will provide senior medical leadership within an integrated community and inpatient adult mental health service, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, recovery-focused psychiatric care.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Clinical leadership and governance of a case-management team
- Assessment and management of adults with high and low prevalence mental health conditions
- Participation in the on-call roster
- Opportunity to participate in the ECT roster (training provided if required)
- Teaching and supervision of Registrars, junior doctors and medical students
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent
- Demonstrated competence in adult psychiatric assessment and management
- A collaborative, patient-centred approach and strong MDT engagement
- Interest in education, supervision and service development
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement and clinical governance
- Permanent, secure specialist role
