The Opportunity
Working closely with the General Manager, Director of Nursing and broader executive team, you will provide leadership and professional oversight across medical services and the medical workforce.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing strategic and operational leadership across medical services
- Supporting medical workforce planning, recruitment, credentialing and performance
- Influencing the future direction and delivery of clinical services
- Promoting clinical governance, patient safety and continuous improvement
- Building a positive, accountable and inclusive workplace culture
- Supporting medical leaders and empowering teams to deliver outstanding care
- Contributing to the planning and implementation of the hospital redevelopment
- Collaborating with an experienced network of medical administration executives across the wider health service
About You
You will be a respected and forward-thinking medical leader who brings energy, sound judgement and a collaborative approach to executive decision-making.
You will ideally demonstrate:
- Appropriate medical registration with AHPRA
- Significant experience in medical leadership, administration or management
- Strong knowledge of clinical governance, workforce planning and quality improvement
- The ability to lead organisational change and engage diverse stakeholders
- A commitment to safe, patient-centred and high-quality healthcare
- An inclusive leadership style that values and empowers people
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills
