This is an exciting opportunity to lead a collaborative and high-performing team, deliver best-practice clinical care, and help shape the future of infectious disease medicine in the region.
- Hospital with over 330 beds, serving a population of 250,000 and has a strong teaching and research ties with the University
- Provide expert clinical care in Infectious Diseases to inpatients and outpatients
- Lead and mentor a dedicated ID team and contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
- Conduct twice-weekly ICU ID rounds and support the Antibiotic Stewardship Program
- Drive quality improvement, research, and service innovation
- Optional: incorporate a minor Clinical Microbiology role if suitably qualified
- Fellowship in Infectious Diseases (FRACP or equivalent)
- Eligible for specialist registration with AHPRA (SIMGs welcome to apply)
- Proven leadership and collaborative team-building skills
- Strong commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and clinical governance
- Excellent communication and mentoring ability
- (Desirable) Experience or interest in microbial genomics
- Total package up to $484,000 p.a.
- Private Practice allowance 35% or participation in Private Practice Scheme
- Motor vehicle allowance $28,786 p.a. or fully maintained vehicle
