Immediate vacancy for an experienced Physiotherapist to join a hospital just two hours from Melbourne.
Physiotherapist - Surgical Grade 2 position
- Surgical ward -Fixed-term until June 2027. Open to candidates looking for 6 months ++. This role is largely based in surgical/orthopaedics but includes medical patients, some emergency department, paediatrics
- The role is across general inpatients/outpatients across multiple areas as needed
- Preference for >2 years experience at least, and have some public health/hospital experience
- Accommodation available, also possible relocation incentives >$2500, but up to $8000 for international relocation (existing visa/right to work) for longer term contracts
This role is largely responsible for delivering high-quality physiotherapy services to the surgical and acute care units, but will work as part of the wider acute physiotherapy team with additional responsibilities on the medical, respiratory, paediatric and maternity wards, the critical care unit and the emergency department as required.
Our team consists of physiotherapists, exercise physiologists and allied health assistants and delivers comprehensive services to the emergency, acute, subacute and community settings. As the Grade 2 Physiotherapist, you will work closely with the Grade 3 Acute Clinical Lead Physiotherapist and the Physiotherapy Manager to help oversee the delivery of Physiotherapy services across your clinical area. You will also work closely with other stakeholders such as the Nursing Unit Managers and different surgical and medical teams.
This role will provide support to Grade 1 Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants, Undergraduate Students, and the wider multi-disciplinary team. You will provide clinical expertise to complex cases, support staff supervision, assist with relevant competency and in-service training, and assist with departmental and organisation quality projects and/or working groups to enhance the delivery of high-quality physiotherapy services to GV Health patients in your relevant areas.
Hand Therapist (Physiotherapist & Occupational Therapist) – Grade 3 position
- Role is Grade 3 and until December 2026, but open to discussions with Grade 2 staff or those seeking work post December 2026.
You will report directly to the Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy Manager, and also work collaboratively with senior medical staff including Orthopaedics. You will work with other seniors in your relevant discipline and senior outpatient allied health staff to ensure effective teamwork and effective consumer care.
