This coastal Victorian service provides an integrated health service for the community. The hospital was established over 150 years ago on the current site and now provides a comprehensive range of services that include:
- Hospital based Medical and Surgical services, Medical Imaging (Radiology), Pharmacy and Pathology
- A 24/7 Urgent Care Centre for emergency treatment
- Residential aged care for 30 residents
- An extensive range of primary and community services for the local community
- The service employs around 470 staff with an FTE of approximately 290 and has an active volunteer workforce.
The division of Primary Care Services offer a range of community based prevention, early intervention, post-acute treatment, health rehabilitation and recovery and continuing services designed to improve or maintain the health of individuals and communities. The Allied Health department comprises of 11 different specialty services providing services to clients in the Shire.
This position is a generalist occupational therapy caseload that involves treating a diverse range of conditions across various patient demographics. Working with a multidisciplinary allied Health team, clinicians applying for this position must have sounds understanding across the following areas.
This includes:
- Inpatient general medicine & orthopaedic caseload
- Community outpatient clinics, in particular aged care services
- Working with and delegating task to Allied Health Assistants
This role requires adaptability and broad expertise to deliver personalise care in different clinical settings. This role will require the clinician to work as a sole practitioner on occasion.
- Monday-Friday as roster
- Up to 80 hours per fortnight
- Locum rates depending on experience
- Accommodation provided or option for accommodation subsidy
- Upto $200 reimbursed for one way travel with receipts
