Experienced Physiotherapist required for a hospital based in North Queensland. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of allied health staff, including other Physiotherapists and cover a mixed caseload.
- Hours would be 0800-1630 Monday to Friday with 1 hour unpaid break (7.5 hours per day)
- Accommodation can be provided for the length of contract
- Up to $1000 (incl. GST) will be reimbursed for one way travel
- Working in a rural generalist role with Senior Clinicians of the same discipline
- Caseload includes inpatient adult & paediatric wards and ED, outpatient adults and paediatrics – caseloads can be discussed pending experience. This will be split between the clinicians.
- Working amongst the multidisciplinary team which is young and dynamic. The team regularly plan weekend adventures including camping, rodeos, and local events like wine festivals, balls, markets, and sporting events. They even hold an Allied Health Ball every year to celebrate all Allied Health Clinicians in North West Queensland. They have a few gyms in town including a yoga studio, Anytime Fitness, Pilates studio, a public pool and plenty of outdoor walking areas. There are cafes, a library, Kmart, Woolies and Coles, Harvey Norman, and a couple of specialty stores. The area is surrounded by cattle stations and you can even feed some camels just down the road from the Hospital! There’s a large freshwater lake 10km out of town where people regularly paddleboard, water ski, swim, and kayak to get their water fix, and there’s lots of water holes/water falls that can be visited after wet season to keep cool.
- There are daily flights to Brisbane and Townsville and some direct flights throughout the week to Cairns.

- Locum rates upto $72 + super depending on experience

The Allied Health Services include Cardiac Scientist, Nutrition & Dietetics, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Speech & Hearing, and Podiatry with a visiting Prosthetics & Orthotics service.
This region offers a real insight into Outback Australia, with a wide range of places to enjoy 4 wheel driving, camping, fishing and hiking. A great location for any intrepid explorer!
