HP3 Podiatrist required for locum with remote health service based in South West Queensland, approximately five hours drive from Brisbane. You will join an allied health team of 25.
The podiatry service is generalist in scope with a strong focus on acute and high risk foot disease management but with opportunities to work across the breadth of clinical practice in a close-knit multidisciplinary team with links to tertiary services. They cover outreach sites to the north, east and west all manageable within day trips but with opportunities to network to other hubs in the region.
This location is about 480km west of Brisbane (an hour flight) and is the largest town in the region, servicing a catchment population of almost 14,000. With an array of city-like conveniences and friendly country hospitality in a region traditionally rich with oil and gas and farming industries, Roma boasts an abundance of sports and recreation opportunities.
- The caseload is high risk foot focused rural generalist – everything from musculoskeletal to skin pathology to neurovascular assessments with a focus on treating people with active foot disease i.e. foot ulceration and related pathology.
- It is community based out of a hospital OPD – they see predominantly hospital outpatients but also cover inpatients and some residential care and multipurpose health service residents.
- Locum rates upto $75 + super per hour depending on experience + living away from home benefits – pay less tax, more take home pay!

- FREE accommodation provided + travel reimbursement of $200 each way.
