I’ve had great feedback from the 40+ allied health locums I’ve placed here over the years. To be considered, you must have:
- Experience NOT including placements providing clinical social work services within a hospital setting (Emergency Department), including crisis intervention and short term support
- Strong knowledge and experience in domestic and family violence risk assessment, safety planning and support services
- Experience working with child protection concerns, including mandatory reporting requirements, and liaising with relevant agencies
- Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends and after-hours shifts, on call.
- This role is NOT suitable for new graduates or candidates who don't have PAID hospital experience
Cases include:
- Sexual violence
- ED presentations
- Crisis response (adults and paediatrics)
- Guardianship
- Advocacy
- NDIS applications
- Inpatients only – ED, acute wards – general medical, surgical, palliative care, rehabilitation, maternity and paediatrics
- You must have strong crisis response and experience with victims of domestic and sexual violence
- Join a team of clinicians at different levels from Director, Team leaders, SWs, DTs, OTs, PTs, SPs, AHAs, ALOs, Admin
- Mid December or 5th January for 3-4 weeks + possible extension
You must have relevant experience.
This role requires you to be eligible for AASW membership
