Experienced Community Speech Pathologist required for this regional hospital, just two hours from Melbourne. Ideally you will be an experienced clinician who is able to confidently carry a caseload and offer support to the junior OTs on the team. Ideally to start in March/April. Accommodation provided for the duration of the contract. There are several options
- Permanent Grade 2 or 3
- Locum - at least 4 months with an opportunity to extend
- Fixed term contract - 6+ months (employed directly with service)
- Grade 2 salary $90k - $103k per annum / locum rates upto $65 per hour + super + potential living away from home allowance
- Grade 3 salary $103k - $110k per annum / locum rates upto $70 per hour + potential living away from home allowance
The caseload involves:
- Working with the frail aged and people with a disability to maximise independence at home.
- Working with clients, carers and families to provide practical solutions to promote independence and safety at home
- Developing goals and care plans to assist clients to remain at home and active in their local community
- Collaborating with other clinicians in the RAHT team to offer holistic care to clients referred
- Working with a diverse range of clients and health conditions.
- Working across funding streams such as HACC PYP, CHSP & possibly the NDIS (minimal, if any)
- Opportunity to work with Allied Health Assistants to undertake client care programs and equipment trials.
- Primarily home based work with some opportunity for clinic appts.
Ideally you will have experience across:
- Home modifications, knowledge of Australian Building Standards
- Assistive technology/equipment prescription
- Scooter assessments, Wheelchair prescription
- Familiar with funding schemes such as Geat2GO and SWEP
- Community
