Experienced Mental Health Clinician required for an urgent locum in Moranbah (200km west of Mackay), Queensland. The role is to start ASAP until 11th January 2026. Full time hours, Monday – Friday. Open to an Occupational Therapist or Social Worker or Psychologist with mental health experience.
The team compromises of several programs:
- Child and Youth Service providing intake, assessment, treatment and case management services to young people (and families/supports) with moderate to severe mental health issues.
- Adult Service providing triage, assessment, goal and evidence based therapeutic intervention and treatment, and case management service for adults experiencing mental health issues in the rural setting.
- Acute Care Team providing intake/triage, assessment and crisis intervention to individuals who experience mental disorder within the MHHS geographical area.
- Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (AODs)
You must have experience in:
- Child and Youth Mental Health Service Experience - Willing to provide support to young people in the Isaac region
- Mental health assessment and case management experience
- Triage Experience
- AOD case management experience
- Knowledge of CIMHA database
- Knowledge of ATODS-IS database
- Knowledge of ieMR and proficiency in using this system
- Previous experience working in Australia, QLD Health and/or Mackay HHS
- Knowledge of Mental Health Act 2016
- Experience working with children & adolescents

- Travel reimbursement of upto $400 each way with receipts
- Shared accommodation provided or $200 per week in accommodation allowance available
- Locum rates upto $75 per hour + superannuation
