Speech Pathologist required for this locum role based in regional New South Wales. The role is based 4 hours from Sydney and 2 hours from Canberra. The role is to start ASAP, ideally in April for 10 weeks + possible extension. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary allied health team.
This is a level 3 solo Rural Generalist role which supports inpatients and outpatients with acquired communication and swallowing impairments on background neurodegenerative conditions, acquired brain injury, head and neck cancer and other medical conditions.
- Acquired communication disorders covers the range of speech, voice, language, and fluency disorders.
- Acquired brain injury, stroke, neurological diagnosis, oncology and TBI.
Open to Level 2 & 3 clinicians. Accommodation is available within walking distance to the hospital. Subsidised simple hospital accommodation (single room, shared kitchen and single sex bathroom) for $71 a week. The location is a great rural town with lots of cultural, food and exercise/sport options and easy access amenities (cafes, Big W, 3 supermarkets). 2hrs from Canberra, 2hrs from Wagga, 2hrs from Orange.
Locum rates upto $76 per hour + super + potential for living away from home benefits (more take home pay!).
