North Canberra Hospital (NCH) From 21/12/2025 Until 15/02/2026 - Numerous RM’s - Team Leaders - Ideally do close to or at least 6 weeks .
The Canberra Hospital (TCH) 1/12/2025 Until 14/01/2026 (Ideally do close to these dates, unless extension with current contractors then flexible .
Numerous RM’s - Mostly Team Leaders.
Experienced and able to team lead, available to work across Antenatal, Birthing, PostNatal. FSEP 3 for those working Birth Suite
Please note that If you have previously worked for TCH for NCH and don't have Team Leader experience please still submit your interest.
TCH you have the option to have a preference of which area you prefer to work in - please advise if there’s an area you can’t/ won’t work in.
NCH is a level 3 (6 being the highest) , much smaller hospital to its cousin TCH level 6 which has 3600 births! . NCH around 600 births a year and you would be working across the Post Natal and Birthing suites . Across AM, PM and NS. Mostly 8 hr days and 10 hr nights, occasional 12 hr shift.
- Base is over $82.95 for year 7+ , plus penalties + super , + allowances + overtime - earn potential $20+ an hour more in salary with our new payroll tax advantages !!!
- Pay day is every fortnight , on a Tuesday, ability to stack shifts (Shifts are rostered Monday to Sunday) - most shifts are 8hr days and 10 hr nights, occasional 12 hr only.
- TCH has 12 hour shifts on Birthsuite.
- You have to be at least a Year 4 Midwife.
- In need of mostly Midwives who can be in-charge shifts and senior Midwives, please advise if you are cable and keen for in-charge and which areas of Midwifery (PN and BS).
- Overtime is after 80 hours a fortnight , on your shift rate, first 3 hours is 1.5 times your shift rate and 2 times your shift rate thereafter
- Modern Accommodation within budget , which is $650 a week, we have great accommodation available , potential to accommodation family and pets.

- Travel allowance is $330 one day / $660 return
- NCH - Fortnightly rostering will be in line with CHS standard rostering – Monday to Sunday where TCH is Thursday to Wednesday.
- TCH - can choose preferred area in BS, AN, PN - NCH - Must be able to work across Postnatal and Birthing + Team Leader experience if you have not worked in Canberra Previously .-
- Must be flexible with roster and ok with Nightshifts
- Staff may be required to be rostered in other areas of the service based on an operational need (within scope of practice)
