As a Psychiatry Registrar, you will:
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and formulate management plans
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic mental illness
- Work within multidisciplinary teams delivering high-quality patient care
- Participate in inpatient, outpatient and community services
- Complete Mental Health Act documentation and Tribunal requirements
- Participate in an on-call roster
- Supervise junior medical staff where appropriate
- Utilise telehealth to support regional mental health care
Essential Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Current or eligible AHPRA registration
- Eligibility for RANZCP training
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to high-quality patient-centred care
