💸 Pay Breakdown (approx) Base rate (AM)$61.00/hr (RN8+)
Tax-free allowance (daily) Southern NSW and Murrinbidgee locations $124.25 - 148.75 per shift, if this was salary this would be up $280.66 a day – or up to $35.08 an hr (if it was salary based on up to 47% tax rate).
BEST DAILY ALLOWANCES !! Get paid on days you don’t work!!! PAID 7 days - work 4-5 days
Western NSW locations $1067.50 - $1,1155 a week
if this was salary this would be up $402.80-$435.84 a day – or up to $50.35-$54.48 an hou
r - on top of your salary! (based on up to 47% tax rate). THIS IS MASSIVE, end up like as much money alone in an incentives than a Perm salary
Penalties + Super Base up to $61 + $35 *allowances per hour + Super + penalties Total Avg. Gross Pay$115 /hr – $131/hr (RM8+) ✅ Allowances are tax-free and don’t affect your tax bracket.
💥 Industrial action backpay expected later this year — could mean a significant bonus! Between 6% to 25% + Super of backdated pay , Night shift could be up to massive 40% more than current pay.
Southern NSW and Western NSW Allowances easy to collect as can claim supermarket receipts / don’t have to be on day of purchase , use same receipt for multiple days, can;t claim say item twice. Manager may even approve online food purchases.
Shift Timing Penalty
Mon–Fri 1000–1259 (finish after 1800)+10% Mon–Fri 1300–1559 (finish after 1800)+12.5%. Mon–Fri 1600–0359+15%. Mon–Fri 0400–0559+10% Saturday (all hours)+50% Sunday (all hours)+75%Public Holiday (all hours)+150%
ED RN roles - in Western NSW Local Health District (No triage required, but recommended)
Experience required:
- Requires a minimum of ALS 2
- In-Charge - extra allowances
- Virtual guided triage at rural and remote ED departments , supported through Western Virtual Division
- when there is no registered nurse with triage competency available on site.
- This will be a collaborative initiative with the RN providing face to face clinical care including a full set of vital signs.
- The Virtual Nurse Co-ordinator as part of the triage workflow can provide guidance of next steps in patient care planning relevant to the acuity of the patient and resources available at the specific site.
- Southern NSW roles attached, tax free $148.75 a day
- Murrumbidgee NSW roles attached , tax free $124.25 a day (Except Wagga and Griffith locations)
- Numerous other roles Northern NSW, Far West, Hunter region - no daily allowances for these roles
