The Opportunity
Take on a Remote Area Nurse role as an advanced clinician within diverse Indigenous communities, working independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, delivering high-quality care across primary health, emergency presentations, and chronic disease management, and managing diverse clinical cases in a remote setting.
This role is for nurses who already have:
- AHPRA Registered Nurse (Division 1)
- Full Australian working rights
- REC (Remote Emergency Care) or equivalent / For non‑midwives: MEC (Maternity Emergency Care) or equivalent + Pharmacotherapeutics/nurse immuniser certificate
- Experience partnering with Aboriginal health practitioners
- Ability to work in isolated communities
- Confidence managing emergencies and working autonomously
- Have Recent Remote Area Nursing or remote Primary Health Care experience in Australia
- Manual 4WD defensive driver training
- Willing to travel interstate
- Strong knowledge of CARPA guidelines is essential
- Competitive hourly rates of $102 - $118 per hour + super (depending on experience), plus on‑call allowances (where applicable)
