We’re seeking an experienced Renal Dialysis Nurse (Registered Nurse – RN) to join our dedicated healthcare team. You’ll provide high-quality haemodialysis care to patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and end-stage renal failure, ensuring safe and effective treatment in both acute and satellite dialysis units.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up dialysis machines and equipment according to prescribed treatment parameters.
- Assess patients’ physical and emotional status before, during, and after dialysis sessions.
- Monitor vital signs, fluid balance, and treatment responses throughout dialysis.
- Operate and troubleshoot hemodialysis machines and water treatment systems.
- Document treatment details, patient observations, and clinical responses accurately in medical records.
- Collaborate with nephrologists and multidisciplinary teams to adjust care plans and optimize outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on dialysis procedures, fluid restrictions, and medication compliance.
- Maintain infection control standards and adhere to safety protocols.
Skills & Experience
- AHPRA Registered Nurse (Division 1) – essential
- Must have working rights in Australia
- Preferred have experience with Dialysis and Baxter- Artis Physio Machines
- Must have experience in Medical Imaging
- Must have experience in Surgical Nursing
