We are seeking experienced Correctional / Prison Health Registered Nurses to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this role, you’ll provide high-quality, compassionate care to inmates within correctional facilities, supporting their health and wellbeing in a unique and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing assessments and interventions for patients in a correctional setting.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines and facility protocols.
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and manage patients with acute and chronic health needs.
- Promote health education and preventive care tailored to the correctional population.
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical officers, mental health professionals, and custodial staff.
- Uphold infection control standards, safety protocols, and ethical nursing practices.
- AHPRA Registered Nurse (Division 1) – essential
- Full working rights in Australia – essential
- Minimum 3 years’ clinical nursing experience
- Previous experience in Correctional / Prison Health – highly regarded
- Willingness to support workforce needs in correctional settings
