As a Remote Area Nurse (RAN), you’ll use your understanding of Aboriginal cultures to provide personalized care in some of Australia’s most unique and remote regions. From managing emergencies to delivering community education, your role will have a significant impact on the health and well-being of Aboriginal people. Role Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a minimum of 4 years’ experience , including in a Primary Health Care setting
- Demonstrated experience in remote nursing, with skills in emergency care and clinic setup
- Strong clinical skills across a broad range of primary care services, including assessment, treatment, and referral in isolated or limited-resource environments
- Completion of CARPA training or familiarity with the CARPA Manual is essential for remote practice.
- Highly desirable: Graduate Certificate in Remote Health Practice (or equivalent)
- Required: Remote Emergency Course (REC) or equivalent certification
- Required for non-midwives: Maternity Emergency Course (MEC) through CRANA or equivalent
- Required: Accredited Immunization Provider status
- 4WD / Off-road Defensive Driver Training – Manual (practical, one-off course)
- Ability to obtain and meet additional credentialing and compliance requirements as necessary
- Must have full working rights in Australia(no sponsorship applicants considered)
- Competitive Pay: $90 to $98/hr + On-Call + Super, depending on experience
- Short-Term Contracts with Flexible Dates
