Senior Occupational Therapist required for a locum or a fixed term contract (tbc) with this service in Northern Western Australia . You will join a multidisciplinary team to cover a generalist caseload. ASAP start, ideally July or early August.
This is a Sole Occupational Therapy position, you will cover:
- Adult home visiting, equipment prescription and community outreach
- Minimal acute caseload (1 referral per month)
- Large child development caseload (0-18 Assessment and treatment – early intervention, kindy and school age fine motor, sensory, handwriting, assessments for NDIS and refer to NDIS)
- Basic hand therapy and splinting (support available for telehealth)
- Outreach to Aboriginal community once a month
Annual salary of $122,597-$130,265 + super.
This role requires a senior clinician; there is limited supervision and it is a sole Occupational Therapy position. Experience in paediatrics is preferred.
The team is comprised of all sole clinicians – x1 Speech Pathologist; x1 Physiotherapist, x1 Allied Health Assistant; X1 Social worker (Currently vacant) x1 Dietician and x1 Podiatrist as well as a School Health Nurse and Child Health Nurse in the team.
Subsidised accommodation is available as well as some assistance with flights/petrol costs to relocate.
This location serves as an ideal base for exploring the Pilbara's natural wonders, extending your adventure to Karijini National Park, Cape Karaudren, the Coral Coast, or nearby towns like Nullagine and Marble Bar.
