Salary: $134,930 - $189,005 p.a.

Hospital:
Tasmania’s largest teaching hospital, offering state-wide tertiary services across a broad range of medical and surgical subspecialties. As an accredited Level 3 Teaching Hospital, this is a centre of excellence for General and Acute Care Medicine training, delivering a diverse clinical experience with exposure to highly specialised services including:
- Cardiology, Stroke/Neurology, Respiratory, Renal, Gastroenterology, Haematology, Oncology
- Cardiothoracic and Neurosurgery
- Trauma, ICU (expanding to 30 beds), CCU, and Hyperbaric Medicine
- Subspecialty advice and multidisciplinary care models
- Accredited for 24 months Core and 12 months Non-Core training
- Exposure to Core General Medicine, RAMU, ED General Medicine Team, and subspecialty rotations
- Available for trainees entering Year 1 or Year 2 Advanced Training (2-year contract options available)
- Excellent structured BPT teaching program (5 hours of paid teaching per week)
- Rotations in Cardiology, Geriatrics, ICU, Neurology, Stroke, and Regional Rotation (Burnie)
- Supportive Directors of Physician Education and strong exam preparation resources
- Medical Registrars also support MET responses and acute inpatient care
- Opportunities for career progression into Advanced Training positions following successful RACP exams.
- General or Provisional AHPRA registration or eligibility.
- RACP Basic Training completion (for Advanced Training applicants).
- International Medical Graduates with appropriate experience are encouraged to apply.
