International Medical Graduates – Applying for Specialist Recognition of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetics (ANZCA)

Before applying for Specialist Anaesthetist jobs in Australia as an International Medical Graduate Specialist (IMGS) it is essential for your qualifications and experience to be evaluated by the ANZCA Specialist training committee. The evaluation process aims to assess the ability of an IMGS to practise as an unsupervised Anaesthetist at a comparable standard to that required of ANZCA.

For further information on how to commence the ANZCA specialists’ assessment process, go to the ANZCA International Medical Training for Graduates and the ANZCA FAQ’s for International Medical Graduates

Pursuing a Fellowship in Anaesthetics

Only Fellows of ANZCA can use the trademark qualification of ‘FANZCA’, a world-wide recognised qualification trademark.
